Seree’s HDV-301 FHD 1080P Digital Night Vision Camcorder offers you the ability to record night videos without having to spend too much on the budget department. The camera has respectable reviews at Amazon and won’t break you any sweat considering it could be one of the most cheapest Night Vision camcorders available in the market today. Let’s take a quick review of the HDV-301.

Seree’s HDV-301 FHD 1080P Digital Night Vision Camcorder

Hardware Specification and Overall Build Quality

Seree’s HDV-301 FHD 1080P Digital Night Vision Camcorder has a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor and fixed lens that has F/3.2mm, f=7.36mm aperture. It has a 3-inch touchscreen LCD monitor for easy viewing and a rechargeable lithium ion battery.

Its overall design is very simple and the camera is quite small and compact compared to other night vision camcorders. Owners of the HDV-301 can easily put the camera in a small bag. The round shape of the camera makes it easy to grip, the only drawback is its plastic cover is quite slippery and feels kind of cheap. Chances are because of its small size, the camera might fall off in your hands if you are not holding it properly.

            Features and Shooting Specs

The 5MP CMOS sensor (up to 24MP interpolation) can shoot full HD videos in the following formats: 1920 x 1080P/15FPS,1280 x 720/30FPS,640×480/30FPS. The 30 frame per second shooting format does have its flaws especially if you want a clearer and crisper video recording but it’s decent enough for normal use and the average user.

Taking images using the 5MP CMOS sensor does really have its drawback, even if you set it to 24MP (which is interpolated by the way) you’ll still get grainy images. Either way, considering the HDV-301 FHD 1080P Digital Night Vision Camcorder is just under a $100 it is still a good take if you just want to have average looking photos to go with the camera’s night vision capabilities.
