There is so much to get really excited about and below are the DSLR cameras to watch in 2016.

D3300 Nikon DSLR cameraThe Nikon D3300

The best entry level DSLR camera award of the year goes to the Nikon D3300. This is a high quality camera that comes at price that will not leave you bankrupt. This is an affordable and great choice for a DSLR camera to introduce you to the world of high definition pictures. The D3300 is packed with a Guide Mode on the main mode dial. The guide mode will aid beginners in taking the ideal picture.

The visual cues in the guide mode will also help you with things like aperture values, depth of fields and exposure. If you don’t need help with those things you can obviously use the auto mode as well.

The D3300s design is also very beginner friendly. It will provide you with sharp and clear images with its 24.3 megapixel image sensor. You can also record 1080p videos with great smoothness and exceptional clarity at a top performing rate of sixty frames per second. The colors in the still images and videos are very rich but they still look lifelike and very natural. This DSLR camera does not have a touch screen but it is very easy to access the key settings and it also has an access to hundreds of lenses to allow the camera’s capabilities to grow and expand as yours does.

But just like everything else, the D3300 has a few drawbacks. One thing to mention is that the camera’s optical finder has a 95% field of view. This means that your shot’s outermost five percent will be captured by the camera; however, it will not show up in the image’s preview. However, that is not just specific to the D3300; it is typical for all entry level DSLR cameras. Overall the D3300 is a budget friendly and easy to use entry level DSLR camera that offers images and videos with great sharpness and quality, what more could you ask for?

The Canon EOS 5D

A great DSLR camera with an incredible 50.5 megapixel image sensor, but while the D3300 is very affordable and is best suited for those who are just starting to use a DSLR camera and are just new to photography, the Canon EOS 5D is more for the professional or the expert level photographer. It has 3.2 inch monitor and it can shoot 1080p videos. Although this camera is best suited for the professionals, it is still very portable like the previous camera models from Canon.

This specialist DSLR camera should be reserved for occasions where details are very important and crucial like for fashion or commercial photography. This is not a camera used for all types of purposes.  It provides very detailed still images and videos and it was created with a very high standard. But because this camera is actually meant for an expert use, the EOS 5D is one of the most expensive DSLR camera in the market as of today.

The Pentax K-S2 has a weatherproof design that can protect the camera from minor weather problems, a feature that comes in handy if you are one of those photographers who work outside a lot.

This is a well-built camera and it feels very sturdy. It also offers a great screen display and it can shoot at a speed that can reach 5.4 frames per second. It has Wi-Fi connectivity with NFC pairing and the K-S2 has great ergonomics and just enough control that will make any photographer or enthusiast happy. However, the Pentax K-S2 comes at a price that is a little more expensive than most of the entry level DSLR cameras.

The Nikon D180

The Nikon D180 has some amazing features and it captures great images. Many consider it to be one of the best intermediate level DSLRs that we have in the market right now. It is packed with high end features. However, these features do come with a high price tag. The D180 has a 36.3 megapixel and a full frame image sensor allowing you to capture amazing high resolution pictures. Using the Nikon D180, you can shoot images with RAW, JPEG and TIFF images formats, making this camera really versatile and great for editing.

It has an accurate and a fast autofocus system and it will allow you to shoot at a rate of five to seven frames per second. It also allows for a longer shooting time since it has an above average battery life. Nikon designed and created this DSLR camera with numerous dials and buttons on this new model that will allow photographers a few customization options. Those added options make the D180 one of the most versatile cameras in the mid-price range.

If you have some experience with DSLR cameras and photography and if you can squeeze a little more money into your budget, get the Nikon D180, you will surely be impressed.
